KidsPeace Highlights 2020

Here at KidsPeace, the extraordinary year of 2020 certainly was one of enormous challenges... But I’m proud to say our people have met those challenges with courage, creativity and compassion.

In 2020, KidsPeace provided treatment and help to clients across its hospital and residential treatment services, outpatient and community programs, and foster care operations. KidsPeace received referrals from 32 states and the District of Columbia.

Number of instances in which an individual received care in a KidsPeace program in 2020 (Note: individuals could receive care in more than one program while a client in the KidsPeace Continuum of Care).

More than one million contacts with the public by KidsPeace expertise-informed messaging in 2020, through websites, social media, publications, media appearances and other outreach efforts.

96.5% of clients felt they were involved in their treatment.

Hospital

100% of clients felt a KidsPeace clinician helped them reach their goals.

Foster Care

100% of clients felt KidsPeace providers respected their culture.

KidsPeace Mental Health Protective Equipment (MPE) Toolkit

In 2020 KidsPeace proposed the “Mental-health Protective Equipment (or MPE) Toolkit” – a set of tools to strengthen resilience and mental wellbeing against the negative impacts of chronic pandemic stress.
