KidsPeace President and CEO Michael W. Slack is among thirty area leaders named to Lehigh Valley Business’s “Power List for Health Care” for 2024.
The regional business publication describes the Power List as “(recognizing) those who shape our communities and influence our quality of life through the health care institutions upon which our society depends, particularly during these past few years.”
LVB asked each Power List member to share a personal reflection regarding their work. For his part, Slack noted that KidsPeace is seeing increases in both the number of kids with mental health challenges and the severity of those challenges.
“In response, I’m proud that together with community partners we’re developing innovative approaches to improve access to effective mental health services – from pioneering a ‘behavioral health urgent care’ model in North Carolina, to providing school-based mental health clinic programs, to offering free walk-in crisis assessments in our clinics in Allentown and Bethlehem,” he said.
The Power List for Health Care 2024 was released online Monday 8/26 at www.LVB.com, and will be featured in a subsequent print edition of the publication.
